There's Moa than rugby!

I’m getting grief from Tom for not pulling my weight on the old blog, but I’m working away behind the scenes, honest...

So it falls to me to tell you about the non-rugby parts of the trip (there are some).

Monday saw us braving the terrible weather to go to the Auckland Museum. For me, the most amazing things were the reconstructed Moa and the huge Ammonite fossil. There are also interesting displays of Maori culture and a memorial to those who died in various wars.

After all that learning we needed some food, so went and had lunch at a rather odd Italian- Chinese fusion restaurant on Wyndam Wharf. I had a HUGE  bowl of green-lipped mussels which were awesome.

We drove along the coast in the rain and looked at some of the lovely architecture and scenery. We’ll go back there when the weather improves.

Although we had tickets for a gig at the Cloud in the evening, a night of wine, cheese and repeats of Californication was much more attractive.
